Helping Horse Owners
Hey there! I'm Laura. I'm stoked you've found my little corner of the internet. My start to horse ownership was devastating.
I entrusted my horse (DT) to a highly sought after boarding barn. Turns out they were cutting corners. My boy and at least five others died.
Drowning in guilt, I almost got out of horses forever. But, right before he left his body DT asked me not to. He reminded me that I saved him when no one else would. He told me I wasn't done helping horses. I listened.
Since then, I've dedicated my life to becoming an expert in equine care. I've worked with over 200 horses studying:
Barefoot Trimming
Anatomy
Energy Work
Horsemanship
Equine Nutrition
And More!
Today, I help horse owners give their animals the best lives possible. My clients spend less time worrying and more time enjoying their equine family members.
I'll never let someone else make choices for my horse again no matter how much experience they have. I know the reason behind every part of my horse's care and training. You can for your horse too.

Helping Homesteaders
Growing up in rural Alaska, self-sufficiency was a necessity, not an internet trend. My upbringing has shaped how I live today in suburban California.
Yes, we can drive to the store and buy anything we need (and we do for many things). But at what cost? Every time we swipe our credit cards we co-sign the destruction of our planet, and mistreatment of farm workers.
When we harvest a tomato from the garden it's already aided the bees that share our land, improved our mental health as we tended the plant, and strengthened our bodies as we prepped the soil.
I may not be able to build my own iPhone, but I can grow a heck of a lot of food. Every effort matters. Even if you grow one basil plant in a windowsill you're increasing your self-sufficiently and making a difference.
Anyone can homestead no matter where they live. Homesteading is a mindset, and a way of life. It's not owning land, equipment or animals. Learn how to get started on the blog.
